Gokyo (via Renjo-La Pass) Lodge Trek

Renjo-La Pass trekking is very special trekking because this trekking combines remoteness in north of Namche and Renjo-La Pass.

Trekking is a off the beaten track in the Everest Region to take you to a small pass at 5390 meters, where the views of the Everest Range are the best. The most wonderful experience would be to explore this area during the end of monsoon season when flowers pop out in Nangpala, giving the trekkers the illusion that they are walking on textured carpet. The strong fragrances of flowers refresh the mind and feel heavenly to camp there and have a very sweet sleep at night. The caravan-style business, its remoteness, the one of the biggest glaciers in the whole of the Khumbu region and spectacular views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Cho Oyo are the spectacular features in this trek. The newly opened Renjo-La Pass crossing from Thame to Gokyo is a breathtakingly beautiful walk with mountains surrounding us. The Renjo-La Pass and Gokyo Ri

Trek offers an alternative to the traditional Everest base camp trek. From Goyko Ri, more of Everest itself is visible than from Kala Pattar above Gorak Shep. The mountains are more spectacular, the Ngozumpa Glacier is the largest in the Nepal Himalaya and, from a ridge above Goyko, and four 8000-meter peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu) are visible. The view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang (7922m) is one of the most dramatic panoramas in Khumbu. This trek is little less crowded then the base camp trek. It is less touristy area than the traditional route to Kalapathar and EBC. The day – hike to the Gokyo Ri – 5360m. During trek you to look down on the vast Ngozumpa Glacier and have the great panorama views of four of the world’s ten highest peaks Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and Makalu. Our return route to Namche Bazaar will be via Renjo-La Pass, a fantastic high pass. This trek is considered as classic trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure you will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not to experience high altitude sickness.
